Dirt blesses the one who cultivated.
Dirt blesses the one who returns.
Even dirt that is cultivated is promised a blessing from God. This is powerful!
Hebrews 6:7-8 NIV
7 Land that drinks in the rain often falling on it and that produces a crop useful to those for whom it is farmed receives the blessing of God. 8 But land that produces thorns and thistles is worthless and is in danger of being cursed. In the end it will be burned.
Even dirt that is cultivated is promised a blessing from God and the dirt blesses the one that cultivated the ground for it to produce the thing that it grows. The dirt blesses the one who cultivated it. And God, in turn blesses the dirt! The whole creation, even dirt responds to God and gets blessed!
But if the dirt constantly produces thorns and thistles, thereby refusing to produce that for which it was cultivated, that dirt is now good for nothing and is cursed. For everything God created is designed to be cultivated to maturity, and this maturity is to be built upon through greater maturity so that we are constantly growing and producing good fruit.
This is how our faith is supposed to grow and serve us. We are to grow up in the faith. That’s how the promises of God go beyond salvation and are fulfilled. So let us move beyond the elementary principles of repentance from dead works and the laying on of hands and the resurrection from the dead. Wow, if these are the elementary principles, then how amazing are the mature advanced knowledge, education, experience, and encounters of relationship with our God! He wants us to know him, become engaged, and share in relationships with him that just keep growing and growing and growing as much as the sand crystals on the seashore. This is what He shows us using His promises made to Abraham.
Everyone of faith on earth today is like a sand crystal from the promises made to Abraham that his seed would be numbered like the sand. Notice that he didn’t use the word dirt or mud here. He used the word sand. Each human being is like a crystal of sand to be cultivated. Some are cultivated and transformed through processes under pressure to become pearls; others diamonds, rubies, and gold. Such are the different processes and different results. But all are rewarded by God with the manifestation of promises because His Word is immutable. It produces according to what we cultivate it to produce. If we plant apple seeds, we don’t get oranges. If we put in love, we are not to get hate out of it.
Cultivate the soil crystals that are in our lives with the Word of Truth, Love, and Kingdom, and watch what happens.
